How Paint Hides a GUID in AI-Generated Images
Microsoft Paint and Photos can generate images on-device while still sending prompts to cloud moderation services. A server-issued GUID is embedded into pixels and echoed in C2PA metadata, creating a hidden provenance trail separate from the visible Copilot logo.
